The Beauty of Stillness

There is a beauty in the stillness. There is a healing in the calm. What is the whisper you hear in the quietness?

My heart needed the following words as sweet reminder: Be kind to yourself. None of us are living perfect lives. There is grace enough. In this moment practice being still. Wait in the solace. You will find hope. You will find peace.

Do not be afraid of the silence. Let your soul be still. Let your heart ponder. May you hear God speak to the deep places in your heart and soul.

We’d love for you to join us.   Poem, Song, Essay, Story, Blog Post, or Photo Essay – share the words and images that speak of truth. Your voice will be heard here. We’re ready to hear your stories. We honor each voice here.

All we ask is that you keep it G/PG,  share your post, comment on the person before you or after you, and share the link up.  As always may our words be seasoned with salt and grace.  May our words empower, encourage, and equip.

  2. So often it’s hard to find time to be still. I want to do that more often, to take time to really listen not letting distractions pull me away, but to just stay in the stillness meditating on God’s word and let the words and the promises sink in.

  3. Your art is beautiful and calming. I love it. I, too, am finding myself short on words, but also finding that there is beauty in using few words and combining them with images to speak for me. I really enjoyed this prompt. Thank you!!!
