Dan Miller once wrote, “if you know where you are going, you can respond to priorities rather than circumstances. Develop a long-term perspective…” I like that idea.
I can respond from a place of priority. My circumstances, your circumstances, anyone’s circumstance have NO right to dictate our choices nor the vision we have so widely cast for our lives. So let us choose from a place of priority and not circumstances. I’m done with that old life and the old way of thinking. It has held me back far too long.
Yesterday, I had this epiphany–I’ve been letting circumstance navigate my future–no wonder I don’t remember what I was made to do and be. I see now that I can save myself from making foolish mistakes when I remember my priorities and live my life accordingly. I hope you find this helpful.
We ARE women of Godly Purpose and God-given, divine talent. Let’s go forth today and this week from a place of Strength. Even in our weakness, God is strong. We have hope in Christ in us. Let’s not stop running the race based on what we see and hear. The devil loves nothing more than distracting us from the higher call of Christ on our lives.
We can only pray for those around us who do not live or walk in the light. After all, God knows we are His. We can only be salt and light in a world of bitter darkness. Do not lose heart my friend. God is for you and not against you. He will never give you up–no never!!
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence. 13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
